Instagram Goes Pottery Painting

I'm taking things back to quite a long time ago.  There really is so much that I haven't blogged about so I'm going right back to the beginning to catch things up to where they should be.  To those of you who follow me on Instagram, you will have seen most of what I have been up to, but I am hoping that my posts will be a bit more personal and will give things a bit more of a story (I hope).

I have been lucky to meet some lovely people through blogging and have developed some great friendships over the years.  Joining Instagram, I have made no exceptions and a month ago I arranged a Chelmsford meet up.  You can see us all smiling and happy after our afternoon spent pottery painting.  From the left is Chelsea & Denise, Julie from Pretty Little Jewels, Lisa from LissyLou, Kath from Inverleith and little ole me at the front there.

Like every other time that I have been pottery painting the hardest part was deciding what I wanted to paint.  Once I had chosen this little fella though I was able to enjoy the rest of the afternoon. However this does mean that there are a number of visits needed for me to acquire all the pieces that I have taken a fancy to :)

It really was a lovely day spent with great company and I can honestly say more friendships have been made, which is always a bonus.

Until next time my lovelies,

P.S Is anyone else watching Kirstie Allsopp's new programme Fill Your House for Free?  I'm loving it.  In fact I actually filled in an application form to be on the programme but never sent it off, totally kicking myself now, never mind.

A Floral Catch Up

I have now finished my floristry course at Writtle College.  The course I completed was the College Certificate in Floristry.

I could go on next year to the intermediate level but with the new home and new ventures I would like to take on, I have decided not to return.

I have really enjoyed the course and have learnt a lot over the year and will take with me all that I have learnt.

I've even been trying a bit of floristry at home after seeing one of the other classes working on something.

I started with 15 roses, I ended up with this Carmen Rose.  I was so chuffed with how it turned out.

I love flowers.  Nothing more says home to me than flowers.  You can say so much with flowers.  They really can brighten up any space.

Aside form the flower creations I brought home from college, myself and James have been filling our home with many other flowers over the past few months.

In fact since moving in at the beginning of February there have only been a few weeks that the home has been without flowers, something I'd like to continue throughout our time here, we shall see :)

My Summer List

A bit late I know, especially as all this sunshine we have been having recently probably means that we have now had our summer. I'm hoping not though as I have been loving this hot & sunny weather.

So there you have it my summer list for 2013.  I have already crossed one of them off, earlier in the year on a trip to Dedham, row a boat on a lake.  OK so it was a river not a lake but that is good enough for me.  It wasn't me rowing either but again I can live with that.  I suppose if the opportunity arose to do it again I would row next time but for now I can happily say it is one thing ticked off the list.

I've been keeping busy over the past few weeks and have lots to catch up on, that includes crossing another 2 things off my list.  I'll be doing a few catch up posts hopefully over the next week or so.  At the same time I'll be catching up on all your posts.  I'm still struggling to find the time to read all your blogs, I'm currently 5 weeks behind :s I'm determined to get there though, I promise I'll be catching up with you very soon.

Until then,

My Spring List 2013

In my last post I mentioned my seasonal lists that I have been doing.  I had been putting so much pressure on myself to get the lists to a length that would be blog worthy and because I hadn't done that I never blogged about them.

Well sod it.  There you have it, my Spring list.  It may not be very long but you know what, at least I was able to accomplish everything that was on it.

I walked amongst the bluebells during our camping trip in East Sussex.

After years of wanting to visit, I actually got to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and loved every minute of it.

I discovered some place new on a day out during our camping trip to a near by town, Tenterdon.

I arranged an Easter egg hunt for our friends little boy, although for the life of me cannot find the photos I took during the day.

And I took the time to stop and smell the flowers, especially while at Chelsea.

So there you have it.  The list may not be a very long one, but at least I was able to achieve everything that was on it.  My summer list isn't looking all that long either, I'm going to try and have a bit more of a think over the next couple of days and see if I can add to it but either way I will be sharing with you very soon.  I'm also pleased to add that I have actually crossed some of the things off of it already :)

I'm sorry if I haven't been commenting on your blogs recently.  I am still dropping by, at the moment I am very behind though.  I'm currently reading blogs from 5 weeks ago.  I hope I can catch up soon, I really feel as though I'm missing out :s  There just isn't enough hours in the day!

See you soon,
