Walking past a furniture charity shop the other day, this little beauty caught my eye. I knew had to have it.
I'm not quite sure what I will use it for. But I know as soon as we get our own place it will be well used and well loved.
Now the only decision I'm left with is whether to leave it as it is or sand it down and paint it white. I'm swaying towards painting it but I'm still not 100% sure.
What do you think I should do?
Love Gem x x x x
Ooh Gem, that's lovely! I think it would look gorgeous painted white or cream for in the kitchen with some pretty tea cups hanging underneath and tea, coffee and sugar jars in the shelf :) or crafty bits would look lovely on it too.

Such a lovely find! I would definitely paint it. Best wishes, Pj x
ReplyDeleteI would paint it definitely! It's a fab find. Was it expensive?

oh you were lucky. Such a cute little piece :) It really could have so many uses really. Why not try it out around the house before you paint it.....you just never know!
ReplyDeletePaint it! it would look so wonderful painted :) the handles would also show up and be able to show off their own cuteness :)

Love this!!! I think you should sand it down and use as a letter desk! xxx
ReplyDeleteI vote for painting! We just painted our boring brown wooden bookcase a pale mint colour and it brings soo much brightness to the room and also allows things that you put on it to stand out more. I could see some cute bits and bobs on it, with a pale painted finish. xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful!!! I'm so excited that you're following me on Instagram. I'm following you back! Have a lovely day!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I think you should paint it white :)
ReplyDeleteWow it is gorgeous! What a fantastic find! I would paint it - but then I'm not a fan of dark wood! xxx
ReplyDeleteFab find. I picked up a bedside table last week off our local free stuff site. It needs a good scrub and sanding and fresh paint. I wanted to try out 'refurbishing' and it was free so best place to start.
ReplyDeleteI'd prob leave it a few days and move it around to see what use you think it will end up having and then decide whether to paint it or leave it. :o)
What a fabulous crafty find! Perfect for storing crafty bits and maybe you could add some baskets? I agree definitely paint it, maybe a colour if you are feeling brave!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely painting white or cream or mint - or heck, all three! Only joking, it would look lovely in any light colour, it's absolutely gorgeous and can be used for lots of things. You do have a good eye! :)
ReplyDeleteHi, I'm your latest follower! I think your gorgeous shelf unit would look great painted.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, happy to have discovered you XX
